In this hands-on class, students will learn to make four savory and sweet treats perfect for holiday celebrations from Aliza’s new book, Starting with Ingredients: Baking. A Date in a Blanket (curried-cheddar pastry wrapped dates filled with almonds): perfect with cocktails. Alpine Mushroom Pizza: an assortment of wild and exotic cultivated mushrooms top a pizza made from dark and delicious Potato-Rye Pizza Dough. Cicerchiata: small, fried bits of puffy egg dough are simmered in honey syrup with toasted nuts then formed into a festive wreath. Rigo Jansci: thin layers of chocolate sponge cake filled with dark chocolate-dark rum ganache are topped with shiny Mocha Glaze and cut into small squares. Cost: $65.00. For more information…
